These icecream drinks can be served individually or as a basis for a luxurious dessert. Fruity Floats with Alcohol

The humble icecream float is a classic, but its popularity has only increased over time as people learned that liquor freezes better than beer and wines. This means that you can make frozen floats with almost any alcoholic beverage, such as vodka or tequila.

Start by adding a spoonful of your favorite frozen ice cream to an old-fashioned soda cup. Then, top it with a splash of soda water. Next, add about half a cup of your favorite alcoholic beverage to the ice cream. Stir gently until the foam rises.

A alcoholic float has more flavors and textures in one glass than a traditional cocktail. It's a great way for people to have a little sweetness without getting too sweet. Leo Piller is a soda jerk at San Francisco's The Ice Cream Bar. He recommends the Amaro Float which pairs a floral amaro and tropical fruit ice-cream.

The Frozen Brandy Alexander is an update on the classic gin and tonic, but it uses vanilla ice cream instead of gin. Traditionally, a whipped egg was used for the creation of a frothy cocktail.
